Marjaiyah Services
These services connect believers and community institutions with reliable religious guidance. The Idarah facilitates access and referrals; it does not replace the authority of each believer's chosen Marja.
Religious Questions & Marja-Specific Guidance
Submit a question about worship, family life, financial dealings, food, travel, medical matters or another religious concern. The enquiry is handled according to the rulings of the Marja you follow, with complex matters referred to the appropriate authorised office rather than answered by personal opinion.
How we assist: Tell us your Marja, explain the circumstances clearly and avoid including unnecessary private information. We will provide an available ruling or seek an authoritative clarification.
Fiqh, Aqaid & Practical Religious Guidance
Clear assistance with ritual purity, prayer, fasting, khums, zakat, pilgrimage, vows, inheritance and other areas of Islamic practice, together with foundational questions of belief. Guidance distinguishes established rulings from precaution and matters that require direct referral.
How we assist: Suitable for individuals, families, students, teachers and community organisations seeking a reliable understanding of their responsibilities.
Khums & Religious Dues
Guidance on calculating and discharging khums and other religious dues in accordance with the instructions and permissions of the relevant Marja. Where authority is held, receipts and records are handled carefully and funds are directed only through approved channels.
How we assist: Contact the office before transferring funds when you need a calculation reviewed, a receipt issued or confirmation that a particular payment channel is authorised.
Authorisations, Verification & Representation
Assistance with confirming religious authorisations, representative status and documents attributed to offices of Maraje-e-Kiram. The service helps communities distinguish verified instructions from informal claims and preserves a clear line of religious accountability.
How we assist: Provide a clear copy of the document and its source. Verification depends on the issuing office and may require additional time.
Marriage, Divorce & Family Matters
Religious guidance for marriage preparation, nikah requirements, marital rights and responsibilities, family disagreements, separation and Islamic divorce procedures. Civil law and religious rulings may involve separate obligations, so the limits of each process are explained carefully.
How we assist: Appointments are treated discreetly. Complex or contested cases may be referred to an authorised scholar and an appropriate Australian legal or support service.
Wills, Estates & End-of-Life Guidance
Religious guidance concerning Islamic wills, bequests, burial wishes, estate distribution and the duties that arise after death. This service clarifies religious principles while recognising that Australian succession law requires independent legal advice.
How we assist: Families should seek guidance early and bring relevant documents. The Idarah does not replace a solicitor, court or licensed financial adviser.
Community, Centre & Scholar Liaison
Support for mosques, centres, associations and community leaders seeking scholarly guidance, a speaker, program advice or clarification of a matter affecting the wider community. Requests are assessed according to subject, timing and the availability of a suitable scholar.
How we assist: Include the organisation, proposed date, audience, topic and the exact assistance requested.
Pastoral Care, Welfare & Trusted Referrals
Faith-sensitive support for bereavement, family pressure, isolation, youth concerns and hardship. Religious counsel can sit alongside referrals to qualified health, legal, safeguarding or social-service professionals when specialist care is needed.
How we assist: Urgent danger or medical emergencies should always be directed to Australian emergency services first.
